You ate a whole handful of red pills, didn't ya, sport Let's not forget that this is a gaming forum, and OP actually learned something from it, which is cool. Therefore, drilling down into why OP is taking an activist's approach is completely justified. ![]() We're not interested in a regressive approach where women have to be covered up according to someone's religious dogma. We don't want equality of gender with an indifference to female beauty. For example, the women who choose to raise a family instead of having a career are the target of sarcasms and humiliations and men who cannot stand the brutality of certain female sporting competitions are denigrated as sexists in the media. ![]() There's plenty of reasoned arguments in here and you're not adding anything substantive with your complaint of people complaining about the OP's original complaint.Īlthough some people might be more sensitive to breasts than others, there is a climate in modern western societies of "feminism at war against femininity". Re-read more carefully, that was exactly the point of his post. ![]() Originally posted by s20:Hell, they didn't even demand the removal of boobs from the game - just that they found them troubling and were voting with their wallet. Also funny how people only ever complain about female characters but if theres a topless well formed man they just ignore that I honestly never understood why thats a problem for people its not like theyre wearing see through outfits or string bikinis that cover almost nothing and you can see the same if not worse stuff on TV, the beach or if its just friggin hot on the street. Seen the same kinda thought process for Shantae games or Terrarias Zoologist(which is literally just a small amount of pixels) but all i can say if you deny yourself the pleasure of playing a good game simply because you think the outfits are too revealing then thats your own decision but dont expect them to change a minor thing about the game to please some over sensitive people. yea this is still on the normal side not like she has theyre double the size of her head like in some other games i saw on steam. And if its the proportions youre moaning about then. Uuuh i dont know about your kids but the kinda kids i had to deal with wouldnt even realize that could potentially be a problem and once theyre around 11 theyr're usually already watching way harder stuff than a light cleavage. Otherwise, think about learning how to better express yourself. If that's your intent, hey - more power to 'ya. Good lord, it's no surprise that people outside the hobby think video games are childish when, if someone says "I don't like this art" the immediate and overwhelming response it "GAAAAAHHH, FEMINITS SJW SOYBOYS TAKIN' MAH BOOOOOOOOOBIIIIIEEEEESSSSS" You can disagree with a reasoned argument. You can do that without calling names, using BS idiot conservaspeak buzzwords that don't actually mean anything (what, exactly, is a "feminazi"? What's a "soyboy"?), or even being mean. I think they're allowed without people jumping up and down on them, and doing so is frankly what's actually childish in this thread. Hell, they didn't even demand the removal of boobs from the game - just that they found them troubling and were voting with their wallet. People who think they're a bit excessive in an otherwise cutesy pixel game can say that without it being some feminist crusade on their part. No one is trying to take your boobs away from you. There's nothing SJW about saying "Hey, you guys are in early access and this is a thing that bothers me". The sexy witch feels excessive to me, and I would prefer that her design was. But I don't want ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I don't want boobs in my face in every game I play. For all I know it turns into tentacle porn in the third hour of play. The boobs are there to be boobs, they don't serve the plot, they don't contribute to character, and they feel really out of place with the rest of the game art - at least as far as I've gotten. The problem is when it's pointless and feels out of place (as it does here). I feel like the OP would probably agree on that. There's nothing wrong with bringing the sexy. I'm on their side, I'm just not willing to let go of a game this promising over it. I agree with the OP, although it's not going to stop me from keeping the game. I know I'm going to regret this, but here goes. ![]()
